Zechariah Mendel ben Aryeh Leib of Cracow
Zechariah Mendel ben Aryeh Leib (18th century) (Hebrew: זכריה ×ž× ×“×ś בן ×ריה ליב) was a Polish Talmudist, native of Cracow, and in later life chief rabbi and head of the yeshibah at Belz, Galicia. He was the author of Be'er Heáąeb (alternatively, Beer Haitiv), a well-known commentary on the Shulhan Aruk, Yoreh De'ah, and Ḥoshen Mishpaáą (first edition of the first part, Amsterdam, 1754; of the second, ib.
