Zokko
Zokko was the name given to the anthropomorphic pinball machine that acted as the presenter of the eponymous BBC television programme for children than ran on Saturday mornings between 1969 and 1971. Devised by veteran children's TV producer Molly Cox and featuring animations and film clips, the programme is regarded as "the first televised children's comic" (The Independent 7 November, 1991 p 35).
