Zhao Mengfu
Zhao Mengfu (, styled (ĺ—) Ziang ĺć‚, self-styled (号) Songxue ("Pine Snow") 松雪 Oubo ("Gull Waves") 鸥波 Shuijing gong dao ren "Master of the Crystal Palace" 水精宫é“äşş and others) (1254-1322) a Prince and descendant of the Song - Dynasty, was a Chinese scholar, painter and calligrapher during the Yuan Dynasty. His rejection of the refined, gentle brushwork of his era in favour of the cruder style of the eighth century is considered to have brought about a revolution that created the modern Chinese landscape painting.
